Some of the new monsters that received their own animation include “Blue-Eyes White Dragon”, “Elemental Hero Bladedge” (making a return since the 1st game.) and “Light and Darkness Dragon”. The gameplay follows that of the 2nd game. If you’re not a fan of this you can always turn the feature off. Just a small refresh: Destiny Draw is when you pick up to 5 cards from your deck, these cards will be labeled as “Destiny Cards” and when you get into a sticky situation (loss of life points, hand, or entire field) you will be prompted with the once-per-duel chance to draw one of your 5 Destiny cards at random. Fourth: Destiny Draw Systemĭestiny Draw makes a return in this game. The exact same minigames as the last game with a single addition “Bread or ball”. and characters such as Aster Phoenix and Jesse make a return. The reason why the characters have been reduced will be addressed in the “Story” section of the review. Next: The Characters.Ĭharacters from the last game make a return with the characters now being: Neo-Jaden, Normal Jaden, Syrus, Chazz, Zane, Blair, Alexis, and Bastion. More anime-only cards were added such as the “Clear” cards and the “Dark” cards. Tag Force 3 increases the number of cards available to 3501, the 4th greatest amount of cards featured in a Yu-Gi-Oh game. If you haven’t played the 2nd or 1st game or finished the series then I wouldn’t recommend reading any further. Yu-Gi-Oh GX Tag Force 3 takes place right after that event, lapsing over the entire 4th season of the series.
